Avondale Partners Names Bill Hagerty To Advisory Board

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Avondale Partners has announced that William F. (Bill) Hagerty, former Tennessee Commissioner of Economic Development under Governor Bill Haslam, has joined the firm's Advisory Board, according to ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Pat Shepherd, Avondale CEO.

Hagerty is Managing Director of Hagerty Peterson & Company, LLC, a merchant bank and private equity investment firm that he co-founded.  He served as a state Commissioner through January of 2015, running the department responsible for jobs, industry and economic growth for Tennessee. During his tenure, his team executed some 700 transactions, securing commitments for more than $15 billion in capital investment and 90,000 jobs.  He also chaired the Launch TN Board, which is the state of Tennessee's vehicle to support early stage investment in Tennessee companies.

Before opening his own firm, Hagerty held numerous positions in both the public and private sectors. He began his career with global consultancy at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he worked on five continents, with a broad range of clients in the Health Care, Financial Services, Consumer Products, Media and Technology sectors.  He left BCG to serve on the White House Staff where his portfolio included international trade, commerce, treasury, defense and telecom.  Hagerty presently serves on the Board and chairs the Governance Committee of R.J. O'Brien, the nation's largest independent futures and commodities merchant.
