Avocados from Mexico Announces Personal Holiday Chef Sweepstakes

FALLSTON, Md., Oct. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- An all-star line-up of chefs has partnered with Avocados from Mexico to put some flavor into three lucky winners' holiday entertaining. Beginning today, avocado fans can enter at www.facebook.com/theamazingavocado to win one of three holiday parties in their own homes, prepared by either Rick Bayless, Bravo's Top Chef Masters Season one winner and chef/owner of Chicago's popular Frontera restaurant; Iliana de la Vega, culinary educator and restaurateur; or Roberto Santibanez, restaurateur and author of "Truly Mexican."

The holiday parties will be held December 1st, 2nd and 3rd with Santibanez, de la Vega and Bayless, respectively, and will feature a menu of authentic Mexican recipes and new ways of incorporating avocados into traditional holiday menus. The parties will be filmed and crafted into short "webisodes" that will be shared on The Amazing Avocado Facebook page and other video sharing channels to help party hosts prepare their own menus this holiday season.

It will also be promoted through Avocados from Mexico's "Taste the Wow!" tour, a multi-city mobile marketing tour bringing the "Taste-mobile" to health and food events through November.
