Avineon Celebrates Twentieth Anniversary!

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Avineon, Inc., a successful provider of information technology, geospatial, and engineering support services, today announced that the company completed 20 years of operations on January 19, 2012. The company's success and longevity stems from a solid track record of delivering high quality IT services and solutions to government and commercial clients.

Avineon began operations on January 19, 1992 with a single employee. Since then, the company has expanded to more than 800 employees located in multiple offices across the U.S., Canada, Europe, and India. Avineon has now served hundreds of clients around the world ranging from federal, state, and local government agencies to commercial clients such as large utilities and multi-national engineering firms.

The company's services have also expanded significantly. After initially focusing on computer aided design/engineering, software development, and database management, Avineon now offers comprehensive IT, geospatial, and engineering support services as well as the Avineonics product suite, which applies business process management technology to disciplines including emergency management, drills and exercises, customer care, outage restoration, and cyber security.
