NEW YORK, Feb. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Aviation Week (http://www.aviationweek.com), the largest multimedia information and services provider to the global aviation, aerospace and defense industries, continues its series of events focused on maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) with the MRO Americas 2013 Conference & Exhibition, to be held April 16-18, 2013, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
Now in its 18th year, MRO Americas will explore the future of aviation and defense maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) through a series of drill-down discussions and networking opportunities drawing nearly 10,000 industry and government professionals. The event will also host an exhibition hall with more than 700 MRO product and service providers.
This year's MRO Americas event will feature more than 100 speakers representing airlines, their suppliers and service counterparts, including a keynote presentation by Richard H. Anderson, CEO of Delta Air Lines. During intensive sessions and workshops, industry leaders will address developments in all aspects of MRO including advanced materials, avionics, finance, GSE, leasing, logistics, IT, operations and propulsion. The agenda also includes a dedicated forum for MRO Military professionals, focused on maintaining and sustaining military air assets, with strategic insights into funding, forecasts and optimization from top military leaders.
During MRO Americas, Aviation Week editors will present the prestigious MRO Global Awards, honoring the world's top MRO and aftermarket companies, and Airlines for America will present its 46th Annual Nuts & Bolts Awards, recognizing exceptional service and contributions in the engineering and maintenance fields of the commercial aviation industry.
MRO Americas has a proven reputation as the leading event uniting airlines, MROs, suppliers, OEMs, regulators and industry experts as they define the aviation maintenance industry. The event was honored by TradeShow Executive Rankings as one of their fastest-growing trade shows in the U.S., ranking #14 for attendance and #37 for square footage in 2011. MRO Americas is part of Aviation Week's MRO event series that kicked off in January with MRO Middle East in Dubai, where attendance rose more than 25% over the prior year, to a record crowd of more than 3,000 professionals.
