Aviation Week Names Katie Taplett Publisher of Defense, Space and Security
NEW YORK, Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Aviation Week today announced the appointment of Katie Taplett to the position of publisher, Defense, Space and Security. Aviation Week is the largest multimedia information and services provider to the global aviation, aerospace and defense industries. Ms. Taplett most recently was defense sales director at Aviation Week and is based in Washington, D.C.
In this position, Ms. Taplett will be responsible for business growth in defense, space and security across Aviation Week's media portfolio. Aviation Week serves this sector through integrated, global media including Aviation Week & Space Technology, Defense Technology International, AviationWeek.com, Aviation Week Intelligence Network, Aerospace Daily & Defense Report, and multiple defense and government program events.
Ms. Taplett also assumes the roles of publisher, Defense Technology International, and associate publisher, Defense, Space and Security for Aviation Week & Space Technology.

Ms. Taplett joined Aviation Week in 2005 as national account manager for Aviation Week & Space Technology. Prior to joining Aviation Week, she was U.S. advertising sales director at Jane's Information Group and held several positions at IDG over a 13 year period. Ms. Taplett holds bachelor's degrees in public relations and marketing from the University of Massachusetts.
