Aviation Week Names Iain Blackhall Managing Director of Civil Aviation
NEW YORK, Nov. 11, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Aviation Week today announced the appointment of Iain Blackhall to the position of managing director, Civil Aviation. Aviation Week is the largest multimedia information and services provider to the global aviation, aerospace and defense industries. Blackhall most recently was Aviation Week's managing director, EMEA and is based in London.
In this position, Blackhall will be responsible for business growth in civil aviation across Aviation Week's international media portfolio. Aviation Week serves this sector through integrated, global media including Aviation Week & Space Technology, Business & Commercial Aviation, Overhaul & Maintenance, Market Briefings, AviationWeek.com, Aviation Week Intelligence Network, and numerous maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) events around the world.
Blackhall also assumes the role of associate publisher, civil, for Aviation Week & Space Technology.

Prior to joining Aviation Week, he was group managing director at the Shephard Group and has held several positions in digital and publishing companies over the past 20 years. Blackhall holds a bachelor's degree in management development from the University of Leicester.
