Aviation Week Announces Suppliers' Innovation Winners
NEW YORK, Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Aviation Week & Space Technology and Defense Technology International (DTI) have named the first annual Suppliers' Innovation Challenge Winners, recognizing new and recent technology developments by aerospace and defense (A&D) suppliers. These winners represent the best-in-class, potential game-changing innovations. Aurora Flight Sciences took the top honor for a lightweight composite wing developed for Boeing.
A panel of industry judges and A&D experts from Aviation Week and DTI selected eight companies out of 80 entries in 11 categories, as follows.

- $250 Million-$1 Billion: Alteos Interactive Window Systems - PPG Aerospace
- $80-250 Million: MinIM Sensor - Atlantic Inertial Systems/Goodrich
- Less Than $80 Million: Phantom Eye Wing Design and Build - Aurora Flight Sciences
