DALLAS, June 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Aviall, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, commends the City of Irving and the Greater Irving – Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce on the passing of a resolution supporting the reauthorization of the Export-Import (Ex-Im) Bank.
Ex-Im offers loans and guarantees to foreign purchasers of U.S. manufactured goods who meet strict lending qualifications when private-sector lenders can't or won't provide financing. In the last six years, Ex-Im supported 1.3 million jobs across the U.S. For companies like Boeing, it has had a positive impact on the manufacturing sector, which totals more than 17 million jobs. Employing nearly 800 of their 1,500 global employee base in the City of Irving, Aviall recognizes the importance of protecting jobs and growing the economy not only in Texas but around the globe utilizing vehicles like the Ex-Im Bank.
"The City of Irving and the Chamber have played a vital role in advocating for reauthorization of the Ex-Im Bank in support of numerous companies headquartered locally who have utilized more than $1.374 billion in export assistance since 2007," Ed Dolanski, president and CEO of Aviall, said. "Aviall values the continued leadership by the City of Irving and the Chamber to protect U.S. jobs, help grow the U.S. economy and ultimately make America stronger and more competitive in the global marketplace."
