DALLAS, Oct. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Aviall, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Ontic which covers spare fuel measurement parts on the widely popular Boeing 777 and Airbus A320 aircraft. The 10-year contract extension expands the current agreement to include initial provisioning spares and support of Ontic's retrofit campaigns.
Ontic, a BBA Aviation company, is the leading global provider of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)-pedigree parts and MRO services for legacy aerospace platforms. "It is important for Aviall to continue deepening our relationships with valued partners like Ontic," said Aviall President and CEO Ed Dolanski. "In conjunction with our existing distribution agreement on fuel measurement components, adding these offerings to support existing and new customers will help us further extend the level of service and the diversity of products that make up our market basket."
"This agreement solidifies Ontic's relationship with Aviall and ensures our joint customers will receive excellent customer service and superior product availability," commented Gareth Hall, president and managing director of Ontic.
This global agreement follows an existing long-term agreement between the companies wherein Aviall supplies fuel measurement for all commercial aviation customers. Aviall will continue to support its OEM fuel measurement components until 2026.
