"I am pleased to recognize Chad, Fred, Will, Philip and Don today for their impressive legacy in the sports and entertainment industry by founding SPL in 1992," states Zettel. "This team is still in place today with AVI-SPL after 20 years of success. We are serious about this business model and look to expand our investment with this highly successful team," adds Zettel.
With this milestone, AVI-SPL announces their newly formed Broadcast Video Division, which will support the sports and entertainment practice led by AVI-SPL's Special Projects Group. This division was developed by acquiring key technical broadcast engineering talent as a result of recent market flux in the broadcast video industry. This strategy augments AVI-SPL's world class Pro Audio integration business founded 20 years ago as SPL. The target markets for this Broadcast Video Division will mirror the established Pro Audio integration business including sports facilities, theme parks, themed entertainment venues, casinos, houses of worship, performing arts centers and museums.
"This is an exciting achievement for AVI-SPL and a key ingredient to our integration sales growth strategy going forward," states Don Mastro, EVP of Sales. "I have been a part of the SPL legacy since 2003 and, in my 30 years in the industry, I've never been as impressed as I am by the engineering prowess this team has delivered to the sports and entertainment industry. I am honored to be part of this leadership team in expanding our sports and entertainment business with a new and energized broadcast video strategy," Mastro adds.
