AVerMedia(R) Announces Third Annual AVerVision Scholarship Winner

MILPITAS, Calif., May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- AVerMedia® Information, Inc., the leading provider of digital multimedia and presentation technology, announced today the winner of the third annual AVerVision Scholarship for graduating seniors. Applicants were asked to complete the scholarship application, submit an official academic transcript, professional resume (including personal information, job history, extracurricular activities, charities, etc.), and letters of recommendation from two teachers, past or present.  In addition to these requirements, students also composed one-page essays describing how classroom technology has changed throughout their educational path, as well as how it has impacted their learning.

AVerMedia would like to congratulate Jena Graham of Turnwater High School in Turnwater, WA for standing out among the myriad of applicants, demonstrating her dedication to positively affecting the lives of others. Miss Graham plans to attend the University of Portland and major in Engineering Management and Political Science.  Her incredible essay and outstanding GPA, combined with extensive community service and a wonderful goal to continue giving back to the community through education and service are some of the many factors involved in choosing her as the winner of the $5,000 scholarship.

Among the detail included in Miss Graham's essay, she added "It is claimed that technology advancements will double every 18 months, proving what exponential growth the field currently holds.  As a student, I have witnessed firsthand these advancements and the impact they have had on my education."
