NAPLES, Fla., Feb. 27, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Ave Maria Law will announce the establishment of the $1 Million Schoen Foundation Veterans Scholarship Endowed Fund on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at their annual Signature Event. This fund is the first of its kind for Ave Maria Law, generously gifted by Naples residents William and Sharon Schoen to provide scholarship support to deserving United States Military veterans.
Speaking on ethics, capitalism and business leadership, Steve Forbes, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Media, will be the law school's keynote speaker. A former Republican Presidential candidate, Mr. Forbes is the author of Reviving America: How Repealing Obamacare, Replacing the Tax Code and Reforming The Fed will Restore Hope and Prosperity.
For the first time, the law school is presenting the St. Luke Award for Distinguished Philanthropy to Tom Golisano, an entrepreneur and civic leader, and to Patrick Adams, attorney, public servant, and entrepreneur for their decades of generous philanthropic efforts. Each year Ave Maria Law will present this award to one or more individuals who, through their philanthropic endeavors, enrich the lives of others and represent the virtues demonstrated by St. Luke for stewardship and love of those in need.
Hosted by Tom Monaghan and John and Billie Resnick, the event begins at 5:30pm at a private club in Naples. All proceeds from this event benefit the Ave Maria Law Student Scholarship Fund. On March 1, there will be a Chairman's Reception hosted by Tom and Sandi Moran, noted Southwest Florida philanthropists.
