Avalon Document Services and Tampa-based Southeastern Document Services Join Forces
TAMPA, Fla., Aug. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Avalon Document Services, a national provider of eDiscovery, managed services, and traditional litigation support services to law firms and corporations, has announced today that it will team up with Southeastern Document Services (SDS), a Tampa-based litigation support and eDiscovery provider.

Through the deal, Avalon will add market presence in Florida and will retain all SDS team members and expects to add several more team members in the next 12 months. Avalon opened a Tampa office in the beginning of the year, located at 400 North Ashley Drive, and there are plans to combine the SDS and Avalon offices into one new location in October 2016. Team members will retain their current positions. During the transition, the current SDS office will continue to be known as Southeastern Document Services under the Avalon Document Services parent name. Ken McKee, former owner of SDS, will remain with the company as an executive in the legal services division.
The deal combines two well-known document services companies, with Avalon expanding its resources in Tampa while building upon the success that the SDS team has had since 2000. SDS already offers a variety of litigation support services, and the merger allows them to provide additional services, including specialty services such as eDiscovery services, Relativity hosting, cyber security, digital forensics, accident reconstruction, facilities management, and business document services.
