Autonomic Resources' Second FedRAMP Authorization Imminent
Autonomic Resources' PaaS solution, ARCWRX, currently in processing, is expected to achieve authorization in the coming months.
CARY, N.C., June 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ARCWRX, Autonomic Resources' Platform as a Service solution, was officially listed as "in-processing" for a FedRAMP ATO in early June 2014 with full provisional authorization anticipated before the end of the year. For this additional FedRAMP Authority to Operate (ATO), ARCWRX will leverage Autonomic's FedRAMP and DoD approved, KVM-based Infrastructure as a Service offering, Autonomic Resources Cloud Platform (ARC-P™). By doing so, ARCWRX can inherit up to 60% of the FedRAMP Moderate baseline of security controls, which ensures quick compliance. Once authorized, ARCWRX will allow agencies to inherit up to 80% of the FedRAMP security controls in their developed applications.

This impending authorization will make Autonomic's ARC-P™ IaaS the most leveraged FedRAMP ATO, being utilized a total of three times for additional authorizations. The first of these was achieved by Concurrent Technology Corporation on December 20, 2013, and the second by Economic Systems on April 25, 2014. ARCWRX's upcoming approval will make three solutions leveraging a single IaaS solution in the FedRAMP program.
Built on OpenShift Enterprise by Red Hat, Red Hat's award-winning private PaaS offering, ARCWRX enables users to develop, host, manage, and scale applications on top of a FedRAMP authorized IaaS cloud environment with a soon-to-be authorized PaaS environment. By moving these operations to a secure cloud, developers are not responsible for the underlying cloud infrastructure, security compliance, or business continuity planning of the platform. This enables developers to spend less time managing infrastructure and more time producing and innovating. These benefits are especially crucial for public sector application development where time and resources are greatly limited.
ARCWRX users also have access to a wide range of popular languages and frameworks on OpenShift Enterprise, which enable them to more quickly build custom web applications. In addition to the standard frameworks offered, Autonomic has recently added an entitled version of Drupal™, an open source content management platform written in PHP, and is expecting to add MongoDB™ as a Service, a cross-platform document-oriented database, later this summer. ARCWRX provides a unique solution that gives U.S. government agencies the latest versions of the highest quality platform applications while leveraging a highly secure and compliant infrastructure.
Evaluations of ARCWRX are currently available. Interested agencies and System Integrators can request a free evaluation of ARCWRX by filling out an ARCWRX Evaluation Request Form here. Learn more about Autonomic Resources, their impending authorization, and intuitive PaaS offering on their website.
