REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Jan. 29, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- AutoGrid, the leading provider of flexibility management software for the energy industry, has won recognition as one of the top 100 clean technology companies in the world.
The Cleantech Group announced its 2019 Global Cleantech 100 list during the 17th annual Cleantech Forum in San Francisco on Jan. 28.
"At AutoGrid, we're working to accelerate the world's transition to a clean, affordable and reliable energy system," said Dr. Amit Narayan, AutoGrid chief executive officer. "We're honored to be recognized once again by the Global Cleantech 100 as a company that is best positioned to solve tomorrow's clean technology challenges."
The Global Cleantech 100 annually takes the pulse of the global innovation community's views on which companies, and which types of companies, are most likely to have a large commercial impact in the next five to 10 years, according to the Cleantech Group.
AutoGrid develops flexibility management software that allows energy companies to monitor, predict, optimize, aggregate and control flexible capacity from distributed energy resources (DERs) at scale and in real time. The company's patented technology uses artificial intelligence, machine learning and network optimization algorithms to predict the behavior of tens of thousands of resources in real time using data streaming from millions of assets and sensors – thereby optimizing millions of decision variables and dispatching energy assets automatically and reliably.
AutoGrid first joined the Global Cleantech 100 list in 2013 and has achieved recognition in each subsequent year that the awards have been made. The Global Cleantech 100 list is assembled by combining proprietary Cleantech Group research data with weighted qualitative judgments from hundreds of nominations and specific inputs from a global 86-person expert panel.
