Auto Data Direct's Electronic Lien Title Service Helps Multiple Industries
TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Feb. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Auto Data Direct, Inc. (ADD) today announced that more than 1,000 business customers are benefitting from its new Electronic Lien Title (ELT) service in Florida. In January 2013, ELT became mandatory in Florida for Buy-Here Pay-Here dealers, finance companies, or any business that finances vehicles, vessels or mobile homes.
"The ELT service is just one more enhancement to the great service our customers have come to expect over the last 14 years," said Jim Taylor, President. "We have already successfully received thousands of recorded lien messages through the new ELT interface for customers including Buy Here Pay Here dealers, banks, credit unions, and finance companies. Our efficient and cost-effective service has been an important tool for our customers transitioning to this new requirement."
The goal of Florida's new requirement is to move to a paperless system for tracking and servicing liens. Through the ELT system, liens will be maintained electronically, and vehicle titles will become Electronic Lien Titles once a lien is recorded. When the lien is released, the title will remain an e-title, and electronic notification of the release will be sent to the lien holder.
ADD's web-based service offers a full suite of tools for many industries, including automobile dealers, tow operators, insurance and financial institutions and others needing real-time access to information and innovative tools for completing business transactions. One of its most popular tools, DMV123, offers qualified businesses access to 28 state databases for real-time owner/lienholder information.
ADD is also a Department of Justice approved provider for the National Motor Vehicle Title & Information System (NMVTIS). This additional tool is valuable when the current state of title is unknown. The Title Pointer/NMVTIS report allows a business to narrow its search for detailed information instantly. ADD's Title Pointer includes a national theft/stolen check, and lien information when available.
"Our goal continues to be providing our customers with a single platform for complying with the many requirements of state and federal government, and creating efficiencies in completing their daily tasks," said Taylor.
