Authors, Celebrities Available for Interviews at 30th Anniversary Celebration of Printers Row Lit Fest

WHO:

More than 300 authors and nearly 200 exhibitors will take part in the Midwest's largest FREE literary festival this weekend, celebrating the written word with panel discussions and forums, cooking demos, poetry readings and much more. This year's headlining authors include 2014 Chicago Tribune Young Adult Literary Award winner James Patterson, Stuart Dybek, Marlo Thomas, Walter Mosley, Colson Whitehead and many more.

The Chicago Tribune's Literary Editor, Elizabeth Taylor and Director of Events, Haley Carlson are also available for advance interviews.

30^th Anniversary Celebration of Chicago Tribune's Printers Row Lit Fest

WHEN:

Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

WHERE:

Historic Printers Row neighborhood – blocks surrounding Dearborn and Polk streets

Press passes will be available at the fest after 9am on both days. The pass allows access to every program listed on the event schedule. Flash photography is not allowed during the programs.

Founded in 1985, the annual Chicago Tribune Printers Row Lit Fest draws more than 150,000 book lovers to the two-day showcase and attracts more than 150 booksellers from across the country displaying new, used and antiquarian books. Chicago Tribune operates Printers Row Lit Fest as part of the company's ongoing commitment to the written word and its support of literacy. All events are free, but tickets must be reserved in advance for select programs.

The Lit Fest will celebrate its 30^th year with a special selection of programming celebrating the past, present and future of the Chicago literary scene, including flashback events featuring MTV VJ Alan Hunter, a special reading by The Second City of "The Breakfast Club" and a performance by the Old Town School of Folk Music's "Wiggleworms."
