"This has been my dream since we first started Chobani in 2005. I've always wanted to bring our brand to life in a new way and deliver a unique experience for our fans," said Hamdi Ulukaya, President and CEO of Chobani. "Our goal has always been to make simple, high-quality yogurt available to everyone, and Chobani SoHo will bring us one step closer to making this happen."
The Chobani store's carefully crafted menu features a collection of non-frozen, yogurt-based creations mixed with seasonally-inspired, hand-selected, gourmet ingredients. Two offerings currently on the menu include Toasted Coconut + Pineapple, featuring toasted coconut flakes, fresh pineapple, agave syrup and hazelnuts, and Pistachio + Chocolate, featuring Turkish pistachios, dark chocolate, clover honey, oranges and mint leaves.
Each creation will be made-to-order by in-house Yogurt Masters who will handcraft the perfect combination of yogurt and select ingredients to deliver an exquisite flavor profile in each and every bite.
Guests can also purchase a variety of Chobani flavors in 6oz or 32oz containers in addition to featured seasonal fruits from the Harvest Table, which is located prominently in the center of the store. Chobani SoHo will also curate a rotating assortment of Mediterranean specialty oils, nuts and more from its Mediterranean Pantry. These items will be available for takeaway purchase, allowing guests to experiment with their own creations at home.
"This is the first time Chobani fans will be able to experience our brand in a Chobani-owned physical environment so it was important that the store design, overall experience and specific neighborhood reflect who we are," said Annette McGuinness, Chief Image Officer for Chobani. "The physical space was crafted to be unique and special like our yogurt and SoHo was selected because it's authentic, dynamic and global like Chobani is as a company."
Also, debuting at Chobani SoHo is the company's philanthropically-driven line of water, Water for Water. Chobani will contribute 100% of the net profits from each bottle sold to the Shepherd's Gift Foundation, the charitable arm of Chobani, to fund clean drinking water projects. Water for Water is exclusively available at Chobani SoHo and was created to help bring water to those without, based on the company's belief that water isn't a privilege; it's a basic human right.
All of the yogurt sold at Chobani SoHo will be shipped in daily from the company's Central New York plant. Yogurt creations are priced at $3.75 for a small and $4.75 for a large.
Chobani SoHo is located at 150 Prince Street at the intersection of West Broadway in SoHo, New York and will be open 7 days a week from 9am-8pm.
