Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific in Depth With Cox & Kings
LONDON, December 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --
- Cox & Kings Launches New Look 2012-13 Brochures
The world's longest established travel company, Cox & Kings, has launched its new Australia and New Zealand brochures for 2012-13 featuring a comprehensive programme of escorted group tours, luxury holidays and private tailor-made holidays across the countries. The brochure includes dedicated introduction pages for each of the regions with maps, weather charts, driving times and Cox & Kings' recommended highlights and also a festivals page.
Booking revenues have increased by 84% in 2011 compared to the previous year and the new brochures feature more tailor-made content giving ideas for excursions, short itineraries and hotels. Aaron Jennings, Cox & Kings' Australia Product Manager, says, "We have included information on each of the states, which should help clients when planning their itineraries and have expanded the different options that are available for tailor-made experiences. Our own regional recommendations might also suggest including places that hadn't been previously considered". All prices quoted are excluding any flights as this enables clients to take advantage of special offers from the airlines.
AUSTRALIA: In the 2012 brochure there is a selection of new escorted group tours, operated by AAT Kings, some of which have guaranteed departures.
Australian Highlights is a 13-day / 12-night non-exclusive group tour priced from £3,560 per person. Visits are made to the iconic sights of Uluru, the Great Barrier Reef and Sydney. The price includes transfers, excursions and accommodation with breakfast daily.
Western Escape is a 15-day / 14-night non-exclusive tour of the vast state of Western Australia and includes iconic rock formations, dramatic landscapes, native wildlife, Aboriginal
culture and outback settlements. The tour is priced from £3,949 per person including transfers, excursions and accommodation with breakfast daily and other meals as specified.
NEW ZEALAND: Cox & Kings has introduced motorhomes for travelling in New Zealand. New Zealand by Motorhome is a new 23-day / 22-night self-drive private journey priced from £1,775 per person including a motorhome for 18 days. Also included in the price is 7 nights hotel accommodation and transfers where necessary. Auckland & Waiheke Island is a 7-day / 6-night suggested package that can be incorporated into any tailor-made itinerary. With a picturesque blend of farmland, beaches, forest and vineyards, Waiheke Island is an ideal place to relax and recuperate from jet lag.
SOUTH PACIFIC: Included in the 2012/13 brochure for the first time, is a page dedicated to Samoa, Vanuatu and Hawaii. Samoa provides visitors an authentic experience surrounded by rainforest-covered volcanic mountain peaks, cascading waterfalls, empty beaches, turquoise lagoons and friendly locals. Vanuatu comprises 83 islands scattered over 450,000 sq. km of the South Pacific. The Melanesian tribal cultures are part of what makes Vanuatu so special to visit and one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world. Each of the islands of Hawaii has something different to offer, from the glitz and luxury resorts of Waikiki on Oahu to the untamed wilderness of Molokai, where no building is higher than the tallest coconut tree.
NOTE TO EDITORS:
Cox & Kings is the world's longest established travel company. Its history stretches back more than 250 years to 1758 when Richard Cox was appointed regimental agent to the Footguards (later the Grenadier Guards). The company's fortunes grew hand in hand with the British empire and by the early 20th century the company was acting as agent and banker throughout the armed forces and as a shipping agent. In 1922 Cox & Co merged with the Henry S King bank, which had strong connections with India. The bank became part of Lloyds and the shipping agency grew separately, evolving into the modern travel company.
Today, built on the high quality service and attention to detail established by Richard Cox in the 18th century, the company continues to flourish as an independent tour operator, with operations in London, the US, Japan, Australia and throughout India. Cox & Kings organises escorted small-group tours and private tailor-made travel in the Indian Subcontinent, Latin America, the Middle East, the Far East, Africa, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, and the Caribbean.
