Auryn Wins Three Parents' Choice Awards for Groundbreaking Storybook iPad Apps

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Three storybook apps created by Auryn, Inc., the leader in digital publishing of children's storytelling via apps for tablet devices, have been recognized and awarded by the Parents' Choice Awards Committee. The three groundbreaking storybook iPad apps that received honorable designations include Bunny Fun: Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes by Rosemary Wells, The Little Mermaid, and Teddy's Night.

The Little Mermaid was awarded the Parents' Choice Silver Honor in mobile apps and is reviewed by the committee as "an elegant alternative to Disney's rendition." Bunny Fun: Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes and Teddy's Night also received the Parents' Choice Silver Honor. The Parents' Choice Awards Committee previously distinguished Auryn, when Almond Blossoms: A Vincent Van Gogh Story and In Winter Still: A Claude Money Story were honored.

Bunny Fun: Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes is the first app in an original series by Auryn and popular author/illustrator Rosemary Wells that launched in April. Celebrating the classic preschool song "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes," the dazzling app features a new Rosemary Wells' bunny singing the tune in four languages: English, French, Japanese and Spanish. Wells' irresistible bunny dons a new outfit, travels to a new land, and sings the song in the selected language while the words appear on the screen.
