Auri's Patent Application for Active Shoe Suspension System Has Been Allowed by the U.S. Patent Office
LAGUNA BEACH, Calif., May 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Auri, Inc., (OTCBB: AURI) www.aurifootwear.com, announced today that the Company's patent application for its Active Shoe Suspension System, which is integrated across its entire men's footwear collection, has been allowed by the United States Patent Office. The patent will issue on May 24, 2011 as U.S. Patent Number 7,946,060.
The allowed patent is directed to a shoe chassis that increases a user's comfort by providing a heel suspension system for cushioning the user's foot. Specifically, the patent will cover a shoe chassis having an opening and a flexible membrane positioned within the opening to allow the heel to flex past or through the opening and compress a cushioning material positioned under the flexible membrane.
"We've successfully integrated this active suspension system across our entire men's footwear product line," stated Ori Rosenbaum, Auri's CEO. "It's a very effective and very efficient design and one that makes our entire men's fashion footwear products, even our handmade Italian leather dress shoes, feel and wear like running shoes. Our design team continues to push the envelope by bringing outside industry technologies and increasing consumers' expectations of how luxury and fashion footwear should look and feel."
In order to provide additional patent protection for this invention, the Company has filed a continuation patent application with broader array of claims to allow protection from third parties trying to design a shoe that circumvents Auri's current patent.
