LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ThermoEnergy Corporation (Pink Sheets: TMEN) today announced the appointment of August Arrigo, P.E. as Vice President of Project Management. Among Arrigo's primary responsibilities will be the management of ThermoEnergy's $27.1 million project in New York City to deploy a state-of-the-art ammonia recovery system at the City's 26th Ward wastewater treatment plant situated on Jamaica Bay.

Mr. Arrigo is a Registered Professional Engineer with over 25 years of experience designing and managing the construction of electrical and mechanical systems for remediation, potable water and wastewater treatment systems. He has worked for numerous public authorities on designing new and upgraded facilities. Mr. Arrigo has successfully managed approximately 200 environmental and capital projects from design to construction and system commissioning. His management responsibilities have included defining work scopes, allocating resources, overseeing project teams, supporting technical design, and managing construction.

Prior to joining ThermoEnergy Corporation, Mr. Arrigo, was a District Manager with Shaw Environmental & Infrastructure, Inc.'s Holbrook, New York, office, where he was responsible for managing the offices, staff, client relationships, business development activities and operations of the New York Metro District. Before joining Shaw Environmental & Infrastructure in 1998, Mr. Arrigo was Senior Project Manager at H2M Group Consulting Engineers, where he acquired expertise in the design of power distribution and mechanical systems, instrumentation, and controls for municipal, institutional, and commercial facilities. He received his MBA degree, with management concentration, from Adelphi University, and his engineering degree from Binghamton University.
