NEW YORK, Feb. 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- SCHOOOL Inc., a Toronto-based technology startup that uses location-based Augmented Reality (AR) technology for an educational purpose, this week officially launched a new feature function called Glass Notes.
Now enabling people to paste virtual post-it notes anywhere around the globe, the feature also permits English phrases for daily use based on location.
"An example of Glass Notes in action would be if the user is near a bank, the feature lets the Glass Notes containing English expressions that are commonly used in the bank pop up on the user's phone," said Mark Kim, CEO of SCHOOOL Inc.
Glass Notes vary depending upon location types, such as hospitals and shopping malls. Once the notes are glassed, users tap the English phrases on the Notes, and Glass reads them out loud. Users can also create their own Glass Notes and locate them anywhere in the world. Common app functionalities include creating Notes containing expressions user's need for their study, pasting them up anywhere, and Glass-ing them anytime later. Users can use Glass Notes for their location-based virtual notes. The globe is officially students' personal notepad.
To detect Glass Notes, users pan their phone camera as directed to locate them. Users tap the "Nearby Icon" to check and see where Glass Notes are located nearby.
"It's easy to get started," said Kim. "Users simply tap the Create Button, making their own Glass Notes anywhere they want. All notes can be public or private. With the Glass List Button, users can manage and edit already existing and collected notes."
The free iOS version and a Google Play version of SCHOOOL: Learn & Teach English are available for download.
