Auditor General Jack Wagner Sets 1:30 P.M. Press Conference Today On Misuse of Federal Education Funds

HARRISBURG, Pa., Nov. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is being released by the Pennsylvania Department of the Auditor General:

WHAT: Press conference by Auditor General Jack Wagner to announce the results of a special investigation of the School District of York's misuse of the federally funded 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant Program.

WHEN: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011.

WHERE: Capitol Media Center, East Wing of the State Capitol Building, Harrisburg, PA 17120.

WHY:  The 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant Program is designed to provide academic, artistic, and cultural enrichment opportunities for children, particularly students who attend high-poverty and low performing schools.  These activities may take place before school, after school, or during holidays and summer recess.
