Audio Precision is an Official Reseller for G.R.A.S. Sound and Vibration Products

BEAVERTON, Ore., April 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Audio Precision, the recognized standard in audio test, today announced that it is an official reseller for Danish microphone manufacturer G.R.A.S. Sound and Vibration.

Both R&D and production test users now have a complete solution available from a single source for end-to-end testing utilizing acoustic, analog, AES digital, serial digital, HDMI, PDM (MEMS mics), and Bluetooth interfaces.

Founded in 1994 by Gunnar Rasmussen, G.R.A.S. produces acoustic front-end products such as microphones, preamplifiers, and HATS (head and torso simulators). With over 50 years in the audio industry, Mr. Rasmussen is well known for his many contributions to the development of noise and vibration measurement instrumentation. The quality of G.R.A.S. measurement products is second to none.

Microphone sets and preamplifiers
Audio Precision will offer a selection of G.R.A.S. measurement microphones, including the popular model 46 high precision pressure and free field sets that combine a mic capsule and preamplifier in a calibrated, sealed unit. The cost effective model 40PH is offered as well. Associated power supplies and outboard preamplifiers are also available through AP.

Artificial ears and mouths
For testing transducers it is critical that accurate representations of human ears and mouths be employed. Audio Precision is offering the popular 44AA artificial mouth and 43 artificial ear series in complete sets (fixture, mic, preamplifier and coupler).

KEMAR Head and Torso
For smartphone and tablet customers, the KEMAR (Knowles Electronics Manikin for Acoustic Research) head and torso simulator, handset positioner, and ear and mouth simulators are essential tools for making measurements to international standards. AP is pleased to offer G.R.A.S. KEMARs fully configured and ready to use, with and without an artificial mouth option.
