Audio Network Funds Scholarship at The Royal College of Music
LONDON, July 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
International music publisher Audio Network and the Royal College of Music (RCM) are delighted to announce the creation of 'The Audio Network Scholarship' which will fully fund musically talented students through their entire 3 year courses.
Audio Network is committed to supporting and developing new talent, and will work with the RCM to support the students in a variety of ways. As well as funding the successful applicants, Audio Network also plans to offer additional support through mentoring to help develop their knowledge of the industry and provide useful professional guidance during their time at the RCM.
The scholarship will support a student who displays outstanding ability in any musical discipline. Andrew Sunnucks, Creative Director at Audio Network said, "It's a tragedy when a person with a special talent can't fulfil their potential because of lack of funds. We want this award to give opportunities to young people, whatever their backgrounds, to get the very best musical training possible and get the chance to work at the highest levels of the music industry as a result."
Nicholas Selman, Development Manager for Scholarships & Academic Awards at the Royal College of Music said, "We're delighted that Audio Network recognises the need to support and nurture those talented musicians who don't have the necessary financial backup to complete their courses. This is an outstanding opportunity for three gifted students and for whom scholarship support will make a tangible difference to their development."
Audio Network currently releases over 1,000 new tracks a month for use by the global media market at http://www.audionetwork.com.
