BALTIMORE, April 4, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Urological Association (AUA) today announced that Dr. Hans C. Arora has been named the 2016 H. Logan Holtgrewe Legislative Fellow. The fellowship is designed to prepare and educate urology residents and fellows in the legislative aspect of health policy.
As the AUA's Holtgrewe Fellow, Dr. Arora will participate in major AUA advocacy initiatives, including the Urology Joint Advocacy Conference (JAC) and meetings of the Public Policy Council and Legislative Affairs Committee. He also will attend the Brandeis University Executive Leadership Program in Health Policy & Management and complete a four-week fellowship with a legislative office in Washington, DC.

Dr. Arora first became involved in advocacy activities through the American Medical Association (AMA), where he served as chair of the AMA Medical Student Section before being chosen to represent the AUA to the AMA Resident & Fellow Section. Currently, he serves as vice chair of the AUA Residents Committee.
Dr. Arora is currently a resident physician at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Glickman Urological & Kidney Institute. He holds both a Doctorate of Medicine and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Northwestern University and a bachelor's of science degree in chemical engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
