Atty Andrey Filipowicz of Leving Firm Secures Major International Child Abduction Case Victory

CHICAGO, Sept 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Federal Judge Gary Feinerman issued a landmark ruling on August 31, 2012, in an international child abduction case in favor of Marcin Tlustochowicz, who was represented by Andrey B. Filipowicz of the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd. Judge Feinerman ruled that Mr. Tlustochowicz's wife's removal of their son from the United States to Poland was wrongful, within the meaning of Article 3 of the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. Judge Feinereman's ruling came after a court in Poland requested that Mr. Tlustochowicz seek such a ruling from a United States Court.

The ruling came in the wake of a full day of trial on August 30, 2012. The wife, who testified via telephone link, came under the sharp cross examination of Mr. Filipowicz.
