Attunity Extends its PowerConnector Series to Microsoft PowerPivot, Introducing the Attunity PowerPivot Connector for Oracle

BURLINGTON, Mass., June 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Attunity Ltd. (OTC Bulletin Board: ATTUF), a leading provider of real-time data integration and event capture software, introduced today at the Microsoft Business Intelligence Conference 2010 in New Orleans, the new Attunity PowerPivot Connector for Oracle, a dedicated and optimized solution for making Oracle data available in Microsoft PowerPivot. In addition, Attunity announced the availability of additional certified connectors that enable PowerPivot users to access data from many heterogeneous sources.

An innovative technology in the large Business Intelligence market and one of the most popular new technologies released with Microsoft SQL Server® 2008 R2, PowerPivot empowers business users to create managed self-service BI solutions without relying on IT resources. To that end, Attunity now introduces the Attunity PowerPivot Connector for Oracle, delivering affordable and optimized software for loading large volumes of Oracle data into PowerPivot. Uniquely designed for PowerPivot, the connector delivers a simplified and integrated user experience as well as specific performance optimizations proven in lab benchmarks to consistently perform even 50% faster than other common connectors, all in a self-contained installation with minimal dependency on additional client software components. Going forward, the connector will be part of the Attunity PowerConnector Series, which also includes the Attunity high-speed connectors for Oracle and Teradata that Microsoft chose to include with SQL Server 2008 Integration Services (SSIS). Now generally available, PowerPivot customers can download a free trial of the connector on the Attunity website.

Furthermore, having provided a suite of database connectors for many years through its Attunity Connect product line, Attunity has certified its proven OLEDB-based connectors to ensure their seamless support for PowerPivot.
