Attorney General to Chair Meeting of the Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention
WASHINGTON, April 15 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Attorney General Eric Holder will chair the public session of the quarterly meeting of the Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (Council) on Friday, April 16 at 11:00 a.m. EDT. The Council, whose membership includes representatives from 12 federal agencies and nine practitioners, coordinates federal delinquency prevention programs, federal programs and activities that detain or care for unaccompanied juveniles, and federal programs relating to missing and exploited children. During this meeting, the Council will discuss reports from the Operations Committee and Issue Teams on the Council's priority issues: education and at-risk youth, tribal youth and juvenile justice, juvenile reentry and transition to adulthood, and racial/ethnic disparities in the juvenile justice system and related systems.
