Attention California Stormwater Professionals: Beat the Deadline! Training Course for Qualified SWPPP Developers Added to StormCon August 22-24
ANAHEIM, Calif., July 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The new California General Construction Permit requires everyone needing the Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD) certification to attend an approved QSD training course before September 2. StormCon will host the final QSD-qualifying training course in the state before the deadline takes effect.
This is the last chance to take this required course before the deadline, and the course is filling up fast. If you're a SWPPP developer, or work with one, sign up today so you're not left out in the cold and unable to work after September 2.
The Training for Qualified SWPPP Developers course takes place August 22-24 and is intended for those working in California on stormwater pollution prevention plans, including civil engineers, geologists, hydrologists, landscape architects, CPESCs, CPSWQs, and others, and meets the training requirements of the new California Construction General Permit. The permit requires those who want the QSD certification to attend an approved training course before September 2, 2011. This course meets that requirement.
To acquire QSD certification, qualified individuals must also hold an appropriate registration or certification and pass an exam administered by the State Water Board.
Training for Qualified SWPPP Developers is taught by three experienced stormwater professionals with GeoSyntec Consultants: Kim Williams, P.E., CPSWQ; Michael Harding, CPESC; and Matthew Rea, CPSWQ, CPESC.
StormCon brings together the worlds experts on storm and surface-water quality. Government officials, builders and contractors, inspectors, civil engineers, designers, regulators, enforcement officials, planners, consultants, researchers, educators, EPA officials, property executives, and other water quality professionals meet under one roof to focus on this critically important topic.
