AT&T Employees In New Jersey Are Celebrated For Their Community Service

Employees to receive the prestigious President's Volunteer Service Award for volunteering over 100 hours in 2012

BEDMINSTER, N.J., March 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Over 245 AT&T* New Jersey employees will receive the President's Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) for their time spent volunteering in 2012. The PVSA is a prestigious national honor offered by the President in recognition of sustained volunteer service. Each of the 247 employees from locations in Bedminster, Florham Park, Middletown, Morristown, Mount Laurel, Paramus, Piscataway and Warren volunteered 100 hours or more, totaling over 24,000 hours of service in New Jersey to help make our communities better. In addition to the PVSA, some NJ employees will be receiving the Gold Award for dedicating over 500 volunteer hours in 2012.

The President's Volunteer Service Award is issued by the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation, a group created by President George W. Bush, in 2003, to recognize the valuable contributions volunteers make in our nation.
