AT&T Chairman and CEO Randall Stephenson Named 36th National President of The Boy Scouts of America
IRVING, Texas, May 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) National Council today elected Randall Stephenson, AT&T's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, as the organization's national president. In this volunteer role, Mr. Stephenson will lead the National Executive Board, which guides the Boy Scouts of America as it serves 2.3 million youth members. He is the 36th president of the BSA, following Former Secretary of Defense Dr. Robert M. Gates.
Mr. Stephenson becomes national president effective immediately. He will serve two, one-year terms.

Mr. Stephenson joined the BSA Executive Board in 2005. He became a member of the executive committee in 2008.
