ATSSA Presents Rep. Duncan with Roadway Safety Champion Award

FREDERICKSBURG, Va., April 2, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) announced today that it has awarded U.S. Representative John J. Duncan, Jr. (R-Tenn.) its prestigious Roadway Safety Champion Award. Duncan, who has been a longtime roadway safety champion, has worked tirelessly to ensure that work zone safety remained a focus in the most recent transportation authorization, MAP-21. Duncan understands the importance of ensuring that our roadway workers behind the cones and barrels are as safe as possible through vital work zone safety training.

Rep. Duncan's leadership and longtime service on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee has resulted in legislative policies that have directly saved American lives and reduced serious injuries from coast to coast.
