LOS ANGELES and MELBOURNE, Australia, Sept. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Finance controls and automation software leader BlackLine is hosting its sixth annual APAC User Conference next week in Melbourne. Serving the company's rapidly growing base of clients in the region, the BlackLine conference will focus on the need for finance transformation and best practices for accelerating the financial close and elevating finance organisations to true 'Modern Finance' status.
Accountancy and finance team members from Australia Post and Du Pont will present case studies on how each has used BlackLine's cloud-based financial automation platform to increase efficiencies and improve productivity and visibility, ultimately speeding up their financial close cycle. Representatives from Atlassian, Dennis Family Corporation, Qantas and Transdev NSW will participate on a panel, each highlighting their journeys to Modern Finance.
An expert panel of speakers from organisations including Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and The Hackett Group will address the need for finance transformation (and ultimately Modern Finance) due to intensifying global competitive pressures, a rapidly changing regulatory landscape, the growing complexity of financial processes, and heightened demands for clear visibility into balance sheet data. Highly respected business journalist and industry commentator Beverley Head will moderate the session. Executives from Deloitte and Hackett Group also will deliver keynotes.
In addition, Forensic Accountant Tim Tribe, CPA/CFF, will give a keynote entitled "Employee Theft – The Fraudsters Adapted, Did Your Controls?"
Representatives from other BlackLine client companies from around the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region are registered to attend, joining BlackLine's team of experts in Melbourne. As part of the company's ongoing commitment to strengthen its global operations to provide clients everywhere with superior service, BlackLine has designed the two-day event for attendees in the region to share their ideas on how Finance and Accounting can get the most value out of the BlackLine platform.
Both new and experienced users who attend the Melbourne sessions will be given an opportunity to:
- Learn best practices from BlackLine's team of experts and other customers
- Hear how experienced users from other regional companies creatively use BlackLine
- Preview upcoming software enhancements
- Directly influence the product direction going forward
