Atlantic Trust Recognized for Excellence in Investments for Fourth Straight Year
Firm named Best Multi-Family Office-Overall-New Product by Private Asset Management magazine
NEW YORK, Feb. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ - Atlantic Trust, the U.S. private wealth management division of CIBC (CM: NYSE) (CM: TSX), has been recognized by Private Asset Management (PAM), a leading financial services industry trade publication, as Best Multi-Family Office—Overall—New Product for the firm's "AT Income Opportunities Fund" (NYSE: AWIIX). The 2015 PAM Awards were announced February 2 at a ceremony in New York.
"This is the fourth consecutive year that PAM has recognized Atlantic Trust's investment success, a reflection of our firm's unwavering commitment to investment excellence," said Eric Propper, president of Atlantic Trust. "This particular award highlights our new AT Income Opportunities Fund, which our investment team designed to meet our client needs for growth of income from portfolios with lower volatility. It's an investment strategy in which we have strong internal expertise."
The AT Income Opportunities Fund launched July 1, 2014 and seeks to generate high levels of current income from investing in multiple income-oriented asset classes and grow income in excess of inflation while striving for lower volatility as compared to pure equity strategies.
Atlantic Trust's philosophy is based upon a strong belief that equity investments in high-quality companies, defined as those with the highest profit margins, favorable industry dynamics, reasonable financial leverage and strong capital management discipline should deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns over time. The Fund is co-managed by Brant Houston, CFA, and Gary Pzegeo, CFA and is supported by a team of three dedicated investment professionals and the Atlantic Trust equity and fixed income research teams.
