Atlanta's Back-to-Back Monster Energy Supercross Races Comprise First-Ever Duel in the Dome Competition

Fans Invited to Join the Journey to Supercross Leading Up to Throwback Theme for Second Race

ATLANTA, Feb. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Feld Motor Sports^®announced today that the back-to-back Monster Energy Supercross races on February 21 and February 28 in Atlanta will comprise the first-ever Duel in the Dome competition, with the trophy being awarded to the rider that scores the most points in the 450SX Class in the two races at the Georgia Dome.

In celebration of the two races, fans will get a unique opportunity to experience some of the storied history of Monster Energy Supercross through the "Journey to Supercross," an interactive fan experience featuring the Legends and Heroes mobile museum, that will make five stops in the area. The historical journey culminates on February 28 with a Throwback Race that pays homage to the sports' roots.

Riders and teams will support the Throwback Race by outfitting their bikes and gear with a '90s theme to pay tribute to the early days of racing, which produced the sport's greatest rider in history, Jeremy McGrath, and the first-ever race at the Georgia Dome (1993). In addition, the race track will feature '90s-themed design, including the popular over-under bridge.
