ATLANTA, Jan. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Atlanta Airlines Terminal Corporation (AATC) recently approved a contract renewal with CH2M for continued facility maintenance services at the nation's most traveled airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (HJAIA). AATC agreed to a new 3-year contract with two 1-year extension options, reflecting positively on CH2M's commitment to providing first-rate service and expertise.
CH2M and AATC's productive partnership has provided a safe, superb traveler experience for the 100 million passengers traveling through the airport annually. In June 2016, HJAIA was honored as the most efficient airport in the world. This marks the 13th year the airport has received the Efficiency Excellence Award from Air Transport Research Society, a worldwide research network.
Since December 2010, CH2M has performed facility maintenance services, including repair, maintenance and operations of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, ramp repairs and more for the airport. Service areas encompass the airport's Central Passenger Terminal Complex, including the 1.2-million-square-foot Maynard H. Jackson International Terminal, domestic concourses, central utility plants, plane train tunnel, transportation mall and ground support equipment buildings.
"CH2M listens to our needs and delivers innovative solutions to elevate our traveler experience," said AATC's Executive Director, Kofi Smith. "We have a great partner in CH2M and look forward to our future together."
CH2M Program Manager, Blake Dettwiler, added, "We look forward to helping HJAIA remain the most traveled and most efficient airport in the world. Working with an innovative and visionary partner like AATC has given us the ability to push service delivery to new heights for our client and airport community as a whole."
Over the years, the project has secured the necessary resources to drive AATC's rigorous repair, maintenance and operations expectations for the airport's systems and equipment. Most recently, CH2M's AATC project team achieved the ISO 9001:2015 registration, the most widely recognized standard for quality management systems. The aggressive and service-driven registration further elevates CH2M's service delivery at the airport.
CH2M's strong presence in Atlanta allows the firm to continue to offer a network of resources, teamwork and knowledge to clients like AATC.
