ATIXA Launches a Sixth Community of Practice & Membership Category for ADA/504 Coordinators
BERWYN, Pa., July 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- ATIXA announces the addition of an ADA/504 Coordinator Community of Practice, offering a specialized home for administrators with oversight of disability-based discrimination under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Communities of Practice are available as membership levels within ATIXA to the meet the unique needs of particular members' practice areas or constituencies.
This newly added membership category is for those who serve their schools or colleges as an ADA/504 Coordinator or have an interest in disability law, policy, and best practices. Many Title IX Coordinators also have overlapping responsibility as ADA/504 Coordinators, and member benefits are tailored specifically to the unique requirements of the position.
Based on member feedback, ATIXA is implementing a dedicated listserv within this Community of Practice, and staffing this specialized listserv with two resident ADA/504/disability law experts. Saundra Schuster, J.D. and Paul Grossman, J.D. will offer a concierge-level of service to members that assures high-quality and timely responses to all listserv questions and member needs.
