BOLINGBROOK, Ill., Nov. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ATI Physical Therapy, the nation's largest physical therapy practice under one brand, has strengthened its foothold in the industry through the acquisition of 28 clinics in two states, plus the addition of home health rehabilitation.
ATI has added the state of Washington to its growing family with the acquisition of Apple Physical Therapy, a 24-clinic practice based in Puyallup, WA. ATI welcomes further growth in the Detroit area with the acquisition of Spinal & Orthopedic Rehabilitation, a 4-clinic practice in Clinton Township, Novi, Pontiac/Bloomfield Hills and Southfield.
"As an industry leader with a progressive vision, ATI is building a differentiated platform in physical therapy that is focused on strategic growth and innovation," said Dylan Bates, Chief Executive Officer of ATI Physical Therapy. "With our patient-centered mission at the forefront, ATI will extend its coverage to 400 clinics in 13 states by the end of 2014, with more growth planned for 2015."
Complementing ATI's growth in Washington and Michigan is its addition of a new service line in Illinois. ATI Physical Therapy and Summit Home Health have announced a new relationship that broadens the physical therapy services within Summit's orthopedic home health rehabilitation. As a result, Summit Home Health will assume the name of ATI Home Health, and will offer patients and physicians the unparalleled physical therapy ATI is known for, in addition to the exceptional skilled nursing care provided by Summit Home Health.
"Our relationship with Summit is an exciting and unique move for ATI," said Bates. "This collaboration gives our patients access to the highest level of physical therapy in their homes and in our clinics. We have created a model of care that simplifies patient recovery, streamlines communication between providers and patients, and most importantly, keeps the continuum of care intact."
