MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Nov. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Atheer, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise class Augmented Reality solutions, today released updates to its Atheer AiR™ Enterprise platform aimed at improving security, taskflow reporting and expanding the range of devices customers can use.
These new capabilities are in addition to the rich set of existing features already enjoyed by AiR Enterprise™ customers today. These include "see what I see" videoconferencing for instant access to remote experts, in-view contextual documentation, step by step task guidance, as well as a management console to improve the productivity, quality, accuracy, and safety of workers at the world's leading industrial enterprises. Building on this solid platform, the new release includes:
- Full encryption (in transit and at rest, both on cloud and on device) - Our comprehensive encryption approach allows enterprises to keep proprietary information safe while using AR in a cloud-connected industrial environment.
- Taskflow history and synchronization - When using taskflows for servicing standards or to meet compliance, it's vital that they have the latest and most accurate instructions to follow. The taskflow synchronization feature in AiR Enterprise ensures that as complex taskflows are improved and updated, they are immediately available to all connected users. With history tracking, you can see who is making changes, and track version edits.
- Taskflow reporting and auditing - Getting task progress and completion data from the field helps improve and refine the way that taskflows are designed and creates a virtuous improvement cycle for taskflows. The analytics data provided also helps administrators audit work done in the field to ensure compliance and track training needs.
- Vuzix M300 support - AiR Enterprise now supports the popular M300 smart glasses from Vuzix, giving AiR Enterprise users even greater hardware choices to find the best possible device for their individual use cases.
"We listened to what our customers told us they wanted to empower their workforce – such as enhanced data security and better taskflow management," said Soulaiman Itani, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Atheer. "By bringing these new features to our AiR Enterprise platform, we are answering the call from Atheer's customer base for a broader range of supported smart glasses and the ability to make AR a reality in their organizations and derive real, measurable ROI from it."
Paul Travers, President and CEO of Vuzix, said his company welcomes support for the M300 smart glasses. "We look forward to what the combination of AiR Enterprise and Vuzix M300 smart glasses will do for our industrial enterprise customers," he said. "AiR Enterprise will provide them with a secure, rich application that offers improved security, remote expert collaboration and comprehensive taskflow management and reporting."
