ATF Second in Command Named Fed of the Year

WASHINGTON, Dec. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- ATF Deputy Director Thomas E. Brandon was named Fed of the Year for 2011 by Ticklethewire.com.

Brandon, a veteran special agent with ATF agent since 1989, is a member of the senior executive service.  He began his career as a special agent with the Detroit Field Division, and has held positions throughout the country in various program areas.   He was the special agent in charge of the Phoenix Field Division when he was selected to take the number two spot in October to lead the agency forward.

Brandon is the fourth person to receive this award.  Previous recipients were Chicago U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald, Boston FBI Special Agent in Charge Warren Bamford, and DEA Regional Director North and Central Americas Region in Mexico, Joseph Evans.
