ATF Offers Up to $5,000 Reward in Rapid City Casino Robberies
ST. PAUL, Minn., Feb. 4 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Bernard J. Zapor, Special Agent in Charge of the St. Paul Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), today announced that ATF is offering up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the Dec. 29 armed robbery at the Royal Casino and the Feb. 1 armed robbery at the King of Hearts Casino, both located in Rapid City, S.D.
The suspect of the Royal Casino armed robbery, a female, approximately 5'5" tall with a thin build, dressed in a lime green coat and black knit hat and possibly wearing white colored make-up and a blonde colored wig entered the casino at approximately 10:30 p.m. and pulled a handgun while demanding money from the clerk. The clerk was physically assaulted during the robbery and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken in the robbery.
The suspects of the King of Hearts Casino armed robbery, two females, entered the casino at approximately 11:30 p.m. and one brandished a handgun while demanding money from the clerk. The employee was physically assaulted during the robbery and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken in the robbery. No shots were fired in either incident. Suspect #1 is described as being approximately 5'2" tall and weighing 180 pounds. She was dressed in light-colored camouflage clothing and her face was painted with camouflage paint. Suspect #2 was described as taller and thinner than Suspect #1, was wearing a light colored knit hat and her face was painted white.
Zapor stated, "ATF, in partnership with State and local law enforcement, is committed to combating violent crime and aggressively investigating violent offenders to ensure the safety of the citizens of South Dakota."
