ATF Offers $5,000 Reward for Information on Kingston Gun Store Burglary
Ten Handguns Stolen From Retail Gun Store
PHILADELPHIA, July 14, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Mark Potter, special agent in charge (SAC) of the Philadelphia Field Division, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), announced today a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the theft of 10 handguns from the Gun Hippo gun store in Kingston, Pa.
The theft occurred during the early morning hours of July 6, 2011. Gun Hippo is located at 140 South Wyoming Street in Kingston. The burglary investigation is being conducted by ATF and the Kingston Police Department. Investigators seek the public's assistance and information that may aid them in solving the theft of the firearms.
"Criminals who threaten public safety often obtain firearms from gun thieves. ATF is dedicated to ensuring that our communities are secure places to live and work. We ask the public to provide any information that would be helpful to investigators in arresting those responsible for stealing the firearms," said SAC Potter.
