ATF Offers $10,000 Reward for Information on Weeping Water Explosives Theft
WEEPING WATER, Neb., Nov. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Kansas City Field Division and the Cass County Sheriff's Office announced today ATF is offering a reward of $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the August 2011 theft of explosives in rural Weeping Water.
The theft occurred sometime between Aug. 11 and 12. The stolen explosives were meant for use by local mining businesses. The exact location of the theft, amount of explosives stolen, and the exact description of the explosives are not being released at this time.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by ATF and the Cass County Sheriff's Office. Anyone with the information about the incident is urged to call ATF at 1-888-ATF-BOMB or the Cass County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-527-3699.
