ATF Offers $10,000 Reward for Gun Store Shooting
PHILADELPHIA, June 10, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Mark Potter, Special Agent in Charge of the Philadelphia Field Division, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) announced today a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the shooting incident that occurred on June 8 at Federal Firearms Company Inc., located at 5035 Thoms Run Road, Oakdale, Pennsylvania.
"Individuals who engage in firearms related violence and endanger our communities will not be tolerated," said Mark Potter, ATF Special Agent in Charge, Philadelphia Field Division. "ATF is committed to protecting the public from violent crime. We are asking the public to provide any information that would lead investigators to the arrest of the responsible shooter."
The incident that occurred at the Federal Firearms gun shop on June 8, at approximately 10:00 a.m., involved the shooting of a store employee and the theft of a handgun. The investigation is being conducted by ATF and the Allegheny County Police Department Homicide Unit.
