ATF, Berea Police Offer $5,000 Reward
Authorities Seek Information on Shooter
BEREA, Ohio, Jan. 8 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) issued a $2,500 reward and Berea Police have issued an additional $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for shooting at moving vehicles in and around the Prospect Road area.
The most recent shooting was Dec. 19 in the Prospect Road area shortly after midnight. There have been at least four shootings in this area in which moving vehicles are targeted. Shootings are occurring at all times of the day and night. The public is encouraged to be cautious and observant in this area. Any information or observations relating to these shootings should be reported to law enforcement.
Investigators have solid information and leads they are pursuing. However, additional information is sought from the public that may expedite solving the case. Information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible could lead to a $5,000 reward for the person providing the information.
"Information supplied by the public is a valuable law enforcement resource. These shootings are very serious, potentially deadly crimes, and we are hoping someone out there has information leading to the apprehension of the person or persons responsible." said Mark Schulz, Berea Police Chief.
