ATF Announces Up to $5,000 Reward for Information on Concord Chemical Arson

CAMDEN, N.J., June 24, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives' (ATF) Newark Field Division Special Agent in Charge Matthew G. Horace announced today the posting of an award of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the arson fire that destroyed the former Concord Chemical Company facility in Camden, N.J.  

On June 19, 2011, at approximately 5:15 a.m., a fire was reported at the former Concord Chemical Company on Federal Street.  Camden's fire departments responded to the scene and subsequently suppressed the large structure fire.  ATF's National Response Team coordinated a combined effort of cooperative agencies including: the Camden Police Department, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, the Camden City Fire Marshal, the Camden County Fire Marshal, the New Jersey State Fire Marshal and the New Jersey State Police, all of whom conducted a fire scene examination and determined the fire was deliberately set.  

Investigators are seeking the public's help in solving this crime and are hopeful that the reward will provide additional leads in this investigation.
