ATEN Appoints James Hsieh as New Chief Executive Officer

FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- ATEN today announced it has appointed technology industry veteran James Hsieh as the company's new chief executive officer. ATEN's former CEO, Sampson Yang, will remain with the company to manage ATEN's global business strategy development. As CEO, Mr. Hsieh will develop and manage the strategic vision for the company which includes ATEN's business units in California and New Jersey, as well as its consumer electronics business unit, IOGEAR.

Mr. Hsieh joins ATEN with more than 25 years of experience in the technology industry spanning both enterprise computing and consumer electronics. Mr. Hsieh spent almost 20 years at Hewlett-Packard (HP) where he held various roles in the global business units, regions and countries including the Worldwide Marketing Manager for Mission Critical Services, and the Regional Marketing Director for Asia Pacific.  He also co-launched HP Integrity Servers and was assigned to create HP's first software division in China.  

Mr. Hsieh was Vice President of Global Marketing for Infortrend Technology where he led a worldwide marketing and strategic alliance team which included members in the United States, Europe, Japan, Taiwan and China.  Additionally, Mr. Hsieh was the CEO at Sandio Technology Corporation where he invented and marketed the world's first 3D 6DOF mouse. He has a MS degree in Computer Science Engineering from San Jose State University and a BBA degree with a concentration in marketing from Fu-Jen Catholic University.
