Netherlands-based 2 SAT has equipped its fleet of satellite uplink vehicles with ATEME's Kyrion CM5000 encoders, supporting up to 4:2:2 10-bit, the highest quality format available today and the default for premium sports transmissions.
2 SAT vehicles are frequently involved in the coverage of major sporting events including Tour de France, athletics, skating and football.
2 SAT will utilize ATEME's modular hardware encoding platform to service both European football championship final games, live from Torino, Italy (May 14) and Lisbon, Portugal (May 24).
